RookTrove

Terms of Service

Last updated October 11, 2026

RookTrove is a free file storage and sharing service run by RookTrove on its own hardware. By creating an account or using a link to RookTrove, you agree to these terms.

Your account

Your files are yours

You keep every right to what you upload. You give RookTrove only the permission needed to run the service: to store your files, copy them for backup, make previews and thumbnails, scan them for malware, and show or send them to the people you choose to share them with.

What you may not store or share

How the service works

Enforcement

If you break these terms, RookTrove may disable public links, suspend your account, or delete it. Where it is safe and lawful to do so, you will be told why. Reports of abuse can be made from any public link or by email to abuse@rooktrove.com.

No guarantees

RookTrove is provided free and “as is”, by a small operator, without warranties of any kind. It is run with care and backed up, but hardware fails and no service lasts forever: keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. To the extent the law allows, RookTrove is not liable for lost data, lost profits, or indirect damages arising from the service.

Ending things

You can delete your account at any time from your account page. If RookTrove ever closes, members will be given reasonable notice by email and time to download their files.

Changes

These terms may change. Significant changes will be announced by email or on the site before they take effect.
